Nancy Finn is the owner of Chasing Rainbows Dyeworks, where she dyes natural fibers in a rainbow of colors. As a dyer, Nancy Finn has perfected her dyeing techniques and has an amazing sense of color. She has become a nationally renowned instructor and is published in many weaving and fiber publicaitons.
Nancy sells dyed and undyed Spinning fibers, natural dyed yarns, handspun yarns, and sells the fibers, spinning wheels, hand turned drop spindles and other spinner's and weaver's tools.

A short history of Chasing Rainbows Dyeworks……….
It was one of those "a-ha" moments….you know, you're mulling over the options.
I had done a little bit of space dyeing , as it used to be called. The little bit I had done was well-received, and I was having so much fun that I wanted to continue with it and make it the focus of my business. At this point I was not just dyeing, but spinning and knitting to sell finished garments. It was a lot of work for not much compensation. The "rainbow" dyeing was going much faster and I knew I could produce more dyed fiber than finished garments!
I'm just old enough to remember a song whose lyrics start out "I'm always chasing rainbows,……" I was with my husband and in-laws who remembered the tune even better than I.
And that's the short version. The more I dyed, the more I sold. I had decided that I wanted to be in control of the business so I let it expand only when I had enough hands to let that happen. I'd heard too many stories of peoples' businesses growing too fast and getting out of control.
Now I have four wonderful women who work with me. I've trained them all and they are all expert dyers. We have a lot of fun at Chasing Rainbows Dyeworks in between all the hard work!
